Opportunity to support regulation of Construction Products
The Office for Product Safety & Standards (OPSS), which sits within the Department for Business and Trade is currently responsible for regulation of construction products across the UK. To support their work, OPSS is establishing a register of specialists with expertise related to construction products, from whom OPSS can commission ad hoc projects to support their regulatory work.
Individuals with expertise across fields such as civil and structural engineering, fire sciences and material sciences would be asked to support with tasks such as:
- Construction product research support: methodological design
- Proposal appraisal
- Rapid evidence reviews
- Report evaluation/peer review
- Quality assurance
- Risk analysis
