UK Government Cladding Remediation Programme under Building Safety Fund | Survey for those in practice

As part of the UK Government Cladding Remediation Programme, the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) is conducting a market engagement exercise to understand market capacity and appetite to identify potential blockers to delivery, and suppliers’ engagement with the Building Safety Fund.

With this in mind CIAT has been working with the DLUHC and as such we invite you to complete the survey, as and if it is applicable to you, if you are in practice.

As said, this engagement seeks to work with the market to identify where bottlenecks may exist in the cladding remediation supply chain, and to understand how the DLUHC can overcome these challenges to continue to deliver the programme at pace, and to open up opportunities to the supply market to engage with projects funded by the Building Safety Fund (BSF) (buildings over 18m), and the forthcoming opening of the Mid-rise Remediation Scheme (MRS) (buildings 11-18m, delivered by Homes England).

The requirements of these schemes will generate a significant increase in demand for services and materials in the cladding remediation sector over several years, and DLUHC, working with HE and GLA as delivery partners, is considering how we can support the market to meed this demand. Ensuring there is sufficient capability and capacity in the market to deliver the requisite services and materials is essential to delivering the BSF and MRS schemes in a timely manner, and thereby supporting the objective of making residents safe.

Thank you
