Volunteer with The Access Project

As a volunteer, you could support young people from disadvantaged backgrounds one hour a week with their academic studies.

The Access Project is an education charity that supports young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to access top universities.

The charity is reaching out to professionals to tutor a young person aged 14-18 years, online, for one hour a week, starting from September 2022.

Volunteers will help facilitate the academic learning of students, collaboratively problem solving and acting as tutors to help reinforce young people's knowledge.

All tutoring is delivered online, through a purpose built platform and tutors have access to a resource library and professional support from the charity's staff, as well as a nationwide community of tutors. No prior teaching experience is necessary, as you will be provided with training, induction and on boarding support which includes lesson planning, topic guidance and resources from The Access Project.

Tutorials will typically take place after school hours, starting no later than 18:00, and can be arranged on a week-by-week basis to fit both you and your student's professional, academic and personal commitments.
