The event is free and open to all – we hope to see you there!

About the speaker:

Abi Truebig is an Educational Consultant and PhD candidate, completing her thesis on the topic of Architecture, Engineering and Construction professionals' needs and experiences of continuing professional development. Abi's research focuses on the role of learning in an ageing United Kingdom, and how to best empower adult learners to seek new opportunities in the face of changing demographics, and an educational landscape that doesn't support the needs of adults, including parenting and caring, financial support, mentoring, and the continued entrenchment of historical issues which have now expanded into new societal problems. Abi is the director of the not-for-profit organisation Pattiesmuir Ltd, which provides training and advocacy in green sector skills such as carbon accounting and management, climate change, circular economy and net zero agendas. Pattiesmuir Ltd was set up to address a deficit of high-quality training that Abi had experienced in her work as a Learning Developer, working with universities, colleges, a supermarket bank, an international law firm and the Scottish NHS, where the learner was usually an afterthought.
