The John Newey1 Education Foundation (JNEF) was designed to support students facing hardship which could affect their studies.
CIAT is able to fund two students facing such difficulties each year by providing funds from JNEF up to the value of £500 each. This funding will enable students to purchase necessary items such as books, equipment, materials or to contribute towards tuition fees, which will help to support their studies.
In order to be eligible to apply, applicants must be members of CIAT, (but not Chartered Members), registered on an CIAT Approved/Accredited programme, and facing hardship.
Students wishing to be considered for a bursary should speak to a member of academic staff as soon as possible. The programme tutor must provide a supporting testimony about the student’s circumstances in the form of an electronic letter which is to be endorsed by a signature from the Head of Department or equivalent. Please note that CIAT will only accept one submission per institution.
Entry: Supporting testimony from the programme tutor with an endorsing signature from the Head of Department, or equivalent.
Applications: Open until Friday 8 December 2023
Prizes: Two bursaries up to £500
