CPD monitoring for 2024/25
The monitoring period will begin in late November 2025, and the following provides an overview:
- Annual CPD requirement: All members (except student members) and affiliates must complete at least 35 hours of continuing professional development (CPD) each year in accordance with the Code of Conduct (please refer to clause A7 for members and B7 for affiliates).
- Monitoring process: 5% of eligible participants will be contacted by email to confirm their CPD activities. You will be asked to declare whether you have met your annual CPD requirement by submitting a web form. For this exercise, we do not need to see details or evidence of the CPD you’ve completed.
- Compliance: Failure to submit your CPD confirmation may lead to further monitoring or review under our Conduct and Disciplinary Procedures.
- Support: You can find CPD courses on the AT CPD Register which have been assessed by the Institute and deemed professionally beneficial. You can also explore additional resources through our CPD Catalogue. You can log CPD activity, calculate total hours, and upload associated files via the ‘My CPD’ section in the ‘My CIAT’ area of the website. For further reading, refer to the article on page 36 of the ATJ, available here.
- What counts as CPD? Don’t forget that CPD isn’t limited to structured courses; it also includes, but is not restricted to, reading AT Weekly, listening to relevant podcasts, and researching whether the latest products would be suitable for your next project.
Please ensure your CPD activities are up to date. If you have any questions regarding CPD activities or monitoring, please contact us at [email protected]
Thank you for your dedication to maintaining professional standards.
