MHCLG Professions Strategy call for evidence

This week, the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government has published a new call for evidence on the proposed Built Environment Professions Strategy.

The call for evidence aims to consider all the professionals, trades and occupations which are involved across the whole building lifecycle, and to gather evidence on which parts of the system are working well, and where reforms are needed. It does not propose specific policy changes (such as regulation of functions) - these will be considered separately.

This call for evidence is an invaluable opportunity for CIAT and its membership to highlight the barriers to delivering safe, sustainable and high-quality buildings and places faced by architectural technology professionals, and the potential to make better use of the skills of members and affiliates.

Over the next few weeks CIAT will be considering how best to maximise the impact of our representations, including through a central response and supporting targeted responses from the membership. We will provide further information on how to support this work in due course, via AT Weekly.
