Technology innovators invited to shape the future of construction at skills event
Hosted at Moulton College, Northamptonshire, on Thursday 3 March, the exhibition celebrates the companies and technologies building the future, using new technology to boost productivity, deliver a more sustainable built environment and draw new talent to construction.
Moulton College specialises in construction technology and is keen to meet innovators who are passionate about driving real change through their products, evolving the industry, and shaping the skillsets of its next generation.
The Construction Future Skills Event runs from 10:30 - 16:00, offering exclusive networking and commercial opportunities, as well as a chance to meet other innovators and educators to demonstrate the sector's tomorrow, today.
Moulton's own construction students, as well as pupils from local universities, colleges and schools will also attend, with the aim of inspiring young people to start a construction career.
Corrie Harris, Principal and Chief Executive at Moulton College, says: "We're on the cusp of a technology-led revolution, and we need to respond and move with these changes, driving innovation and preparing the next generation of the industry to build the future. This is a rare opportunity to meet industry decision makers and employers to showcase how your technology is at the forefront of change. It's also about inspiring and helping young people to enter construction and ensure they get the skills they need for a long and successful career."
Corrie Harris adds:“This event provides direction on skills training by combining excellent networking and learning opportunities. That’s why we’re inviting industry specialists and innovators to come together to showcase and celebrate some of the very best skills, talents, products and technologies construction can offer.”
Among confirmed exhibitors are chief executives from major contractors Stepnell and Kier Group, Flannery Plant’s plant simulator, Winvic’s Health and Safety training VR, Tenstar Simulation’s professional machine education simulator, digital construction solution Oculo, and geo-spatial technology specialists Ridge.
