Your views wanted | Two consultations on improving business processes
Members and affiliates are invited to respond to two public consultations aimed at understanding and improving business processes.
The Financial Reporting Council’s Small and medium-sized enterprises market study seeks to understand how the SME audit market is working, including any burdens arising from reporting and audit requirements (and the application thereof), and the market forces driving the consumption of audit services by SME.
Responses are invited via email until 25 April 2025. More information.
The HMRC/Department for Business and Trade consultation on promoting electronic invoicing across UK businesses and the public sector explores how government can support the increased adoption of e-invoicing.
Topics covered include:
- different models of e-invoicing
- whether to take a mandated or voluntary approach to e-invoicing
- what scope of mandate might be most appropriate in the UK and for businesses
- whether e-invoicing should be complemented by real time digital reporting
Responses are invited online or via email until 7 May 2025. More information.
CIAT does not anticipate submitting centralised responses to either of these consultations, but if you would like to discuss these issues, please contact [email protected]. We would also be interested in receiving copies of any submissions to the same address.
