Dublin | Guinness Storehouse Gravity Bar & new Hub building Architectural Tour
Join the Republic of Ireland Centre and RKD for a joint CPD and networking event - 'Bricks & Porter' - a Guinness Storehouse Gravity Bar and new Hub building architectural tour.
The Guinness Storehouse Gravity Bar expansion and new Hub building project consisted of three distinct stages: Alteration and extension of 466 sq.m to the iconic panoramic view Gravity Bar on the 7th floor; 360 sq.m of alterations at 5th floor level; and 151 sq.m of alterations at lower ground floor level.
The project presented numerous construction and logistical challenges, particularly maintaining a live, working business throughout the duration of the works. This architectural tour, led by Chartered Architectural Technologists from RKD who were directly involved in its delivery, will explore the expansion works in detail and how the challenges were overcome to successfully deliver the contract works.
This joint event between the Republic of Ireland and RKD is a great opportunity to learn about one of Dublin's, and Ireland's, iconic buildings. Throughout the tour, which is not the typical Guinness Storehouse tour, attendees will have the opportunity to raise queries on particular aspects of the design and its delivery.
This is a ticketed event with a number of ticket options available (CIAT members and affiliates and non-members). On conclusion of the tour, attendees will be treated to a pint of Guinness in the Gravity Bar followed by refreshments and networking in the restaurant on the 5th Floor.
