Radon Protection for New Buildings

This course is designed to improve your understanding of radon protection requirements for new buildings and support the application of the BRE Report BR211.

Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can accumulate in buildings, posing significant health risks over time. For newly constructed buildings, effective radon protection is crucial to ensure long-term safety and compliance with regulations.

Developed by BRE’s radon experts, this course explains what is required to provide radon protection in new buildings located in at-risk areas. You’ll gain an understanding of radon risk mapping, the differences between basic and full radon protection, and the protective measures available.
