Aimed at site-based managers and other professionals who have the authority to influence activities on the building site, this course enables you to become a Site Sustainability Manager.

The Site Sustainability Manager (SSM), also known as the BREEAM AP – Site, is dedicated to promoting sustainability on the construction site, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and BREEAM requirements.

Their primary role involves facilitating the project in realising sustainability goals during construction, handover, and closeout phases. As sustainability advocates on-site, they play a crucial role in minimising environmental impacts.

In BREEAM assessed projects, the participation of a SSM (BREEAM AP – Site) contributes to earning BREEAM credits in the Management category. Additional credits can be attained by actively monitoring and mitigating site impacts.

Developed by industry experts, this training course equips learners to navigate on-site sustainability, from understanding the BREEAM certification process to addressing the performance gap and fostering collaboration with site workers.
