Building safety consultations | Wales

The Welsh Government has launched several consultations over the past few weeks.

CIAT will be responding to the following:

  1. Views on changes to building regulations to require gigabit capable connections in all new homes across Wales
  2. Views on the proposals to amend the current guidance on the installation of carbon monoxide alarms
  3. The draft definition of a higher-risk building for the design and construction elements of the new building safety regime

The Institute will be sending out reminders, but those wishing to contribute to the above consultations are requested to submit comments in writing, ideally using the respective consultation forms, to Vice-President Technical [email protected] by 14 April 2023
