Consultation: Scottish Building Regulations: Proposed review of fire safety topics including Cameron House Hotel recommendations

Your views invited.

Overview
This consultation seeks to obtain the views and opinions of stakeholders on a review of building standards relating to the fire safety of historic buildings converted for hotel use. Some wider fire safety issues are also considered to help ensure the safety of people in and around Scotland's buildings.

The deadline for submission of responses is 7 March 2025 and CIAT is holding an interactive engagement workshop to facilitate response opportunities on 3 March from 15:00-17:00, where we will address the main issues of the consultation and gather your views which will be compiled into a response from the Scotland Regions.

Your voice is important which is why we hold these interactive workshops at CIAT to enable you to have your say. When attending the event, we would expect you to have read the consultation (which can be found here) and have some views ready to discuss and put forward. If your view is not finalised, a brief discussion at the workshop may help. If you do not wish to attend the workshop, please either complete a response for yourself or send your comments through to [email protected] and we will ensure that they are included in the discussions and submission.
