Enter the Wolfson Economics Prize 2021

The 2021 Wolfson Economics Prize invites radical new approaches to hospital planning and design.

Since its foundation, the Wolfson Economics Prize has sought innovative solutions to leading public policy issues ranging from currency union reform (2012) to garden city design (2014) and better roads (2017). Free to enter and open to anyone, the winning entrant(s) will receive a £250,000 cash prize which will be awarded at a ceremony in November 2021.

This year's Prize question is as follows:

How would you design and plan new hospitals to radically improve patient experiences, clinical outcomes, staff wellbeing and integration with wider health and social care?

You are allowed to focus on one element of the hospital or consider the entire facility.

The deadline for entries is Friday 18 June 2021 at 17:00 BST. For more information about the Prize criteria, rules and to enter, please visit www.policyexchange.org.uk/wolfsonprize

On Tuesday 23 March at 13:00, the Wolfson Economics Prize is hosting an online conference entitled Designing the Hospital of the Future. Speakers will explore the themes of this year's Prize and there will be a dedicated Q&A session where members of the Judging Panel will be available to answer questions about the Prize.
