Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard seeks Non-Executive Director

Created through an unprecedented collaboration of leading industry organisations, the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard provides the UK's first industry-agreed definition of a Net Zero Carbon Aligned building. Combining climate science, real-world data, and independent verification, the Standard is helping establish a trusted, consistent framework to accelerate decarbonisation across the UK's built environment.​

​Following the successful launch of Version 1 in March 2026, NZCBS Ltd is entering an important new phase. The focus now is on embedding the Standard in industry practice, supporting widespread adoption, maintaining technical credibility, and ensuring the Standard continues to evolve in line with climate science, market needs, and the UK's net zero transition. ​

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an initiative that will influence how buildings are designed, refurbished, financed, owned and operated across the UK for decades to come. We are seeking exceptional individuals with strategic insight, sound judgement and a collaborative approach to leadership. ​
